Permanent employee, Full-time · Porto
24,000 - 28,000 € per year
Job Summary

At Rovo, we believe quality goes beyond compliance—it's embedded in every step of our value chain, from product conception to customer satisfaction. As a Quality Coordinator, you will champion a holistic approach to quality management, ensuring that our garments reflect our values of craftsmanship, durability, compliance, and customer delight. In this cross-functional role, you will work closely with design, production, sourcing, and sustainability teams to embed quality into systems, processes, and culture—moving beyond inspections to drive long-term product excellence.

Key Responsabilities

Quality Governance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and continuously improve quality standards across the entire product lifecycle.

  • Support the integration of customer feedback, product testing data, and market insights into quality improvement loops.

  • Act as the voice of quality in product development meetings, balancing creative vision with durability, functionality, and risk mitigation.

  • Partner with suppliers to align on quality expectations, proactively addressing potential challenges through joint planning and training.

Preventive Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate early-stage product reviews to identify potential quality risks in materials, construction, or design.

  • Oversee pre-production quality readiness—including lab testing coordination, compliance checks, and process capability reviews.

  • Develop and manage risk-based quality strategies, including control plans and preventative measures for high-risk styles or suppliers.

Quality Data & Reporting

  • Analyze quality-related data across production, returns, and customer feedback to identify trends and systemic issues.

  • Maintain quality KPIs and dashboards to track progress and impact of initiatives.

  • Develop and share clear reports that inform strategic decisions around suppliers, product categories, and process improvements.

Continuous Improvement & Training

  • Facilitate root cause analyses and corrective action planning when quality issues arise—focusing on systemic prevention rather than reactive fixes.

  • Support the implementation of lean quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PDCA, Pareto analysis) to elevate team capabilities.

  • Build quality awareness through training sessions and knowledge sharing across internal teams and external partners.

Compliance & Standards Alignment

  • Ensure ongoing alignment with legal requirements, customer specifications, and internal policies (e.g., care labels, composition tags, and testing standards).

  • Stay up to date with evolving quality certifications and industry best practices (e.g., ISO, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, REACH).

  • Support sustainability and traceability initiatives through quality-integrated documentation and oversight.

Preferred Qualifications (Must-have/Nice-to-have)

Must-Have

  • Proven experience in quality management or product excellence roles within the apparel, textile, or consumer goods sectors.

  • Strong understanding of holistic quality principles, testing protocols, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights and action plans.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and creative stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with compliance, labeling, and certification frameworks in the fashion/textile industry.

  • Knowledge of additional quality certifications or audit frameworks (e.g., ISO, GOTS, OEKO-TEX).
