Job Summary

As a Finishing Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the daily finishing operations within our textile production process. Reporting directly to the Site Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of seamstresses and finishing staff, ensuring that all garments meet quality standards and deadlines. Your primary focus will be on planning workloads, optimizing operational flows at the finishing stage (including sewing adjustments, labeling, ironing, and packaging), and driving efficiency while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and precision.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong experience in textile finishing processes, team coordination, and production planning.

Key Responsabilities
Finishing Operations Management
  • Supervise all finishing activities, including sewing corrections, labeling, ironing, quality checks, and packaging.
  • Plan and allocate daily workloads based on production schedules and customer priorities.
  • Ensure that all finishing processes comply with company quality standards and client specifications.
  • Monitor production capacity and proactively address bottlenecks or delays in workflow.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure that all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition.

Team Coordination & Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of seamstresses and finishing operators to achieve productivity and quality targets.
  • Provide clear instructions and training to ensure operational excellence and adherence to best practices.
  • Coordinate shift schedules, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing levels for workload demands.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

Operational Planning & Reporting
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to align daily and weekly production plans.
  • Track progress against production timelines and report operational status, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement and uphold health, safety, and workplace organization standards.
  • Support inventory control related to finishing materials (labels, threads, packaging supplies, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications (Must-have/Nice-to-have)
Must-Have:
  • Proven experience in textile production, specifically within finishing operations.
  • Strong skills in team supervision, task coordination, and production planning.
  • Solid understanding of garment construction and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to manage workloads under tight deadlines while ensuring high-quality output.
  • Basic proficiency in ERP or production management systems such Asana.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to give clear, actionable instructions.
  • Fluency in Portuguese; basic English skills for internal communication.

Nice-to-Have:
  • Formal training in textiles, garment production, or industrial management.
  • Experience working in both B2B production environments.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to digital tools for production tracking or workflow optimization.
