As a Field Quality Control Specialist (Dyeing Expert) at Rovo Assembly, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our dyed textiles and garments. Operating at the intersection of production and client expectations, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive quality assessments with a particular focus on dyeing processes, color consistency, and material performance. Your expertise in dyes and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards will contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsabilities

On-Site Quality Inspections:

  • Conduct thorough quality inspections at factories, ensuring adherence to approved specifications, dyeing standards, and client requirements.

  • Inspect raw materials, dyes, and finished products to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations in color, shade, or overall quality.

  • Monitor dyeing processes, including color fastness, uniformity, and adherence to pre-approved lab dips and swatches.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to dyeing processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, noting any deviations from dyeing specifications and corrective actions taken.

  • Provide comprehensive and timely reports to the Production Manager and other relevant stakeholders, highlighting any dyeing-related quality concerns and proposed solutions.

  • Ensure all dyeing processes are well-documented to maintain consistency and reproducibility in production.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Production Manager to understand project requirements and quality expectations, particularly related to dyes and color standards.

  • Provide expert feedback on the feasibility of achieving specific dyeing outcomes, and work collaboratively to address any challenges in the dyeing process.

  • Effectively communicate dyeing quality standards, expectations, and any specific client requirements to the production team.

  • Work closely with the dyeing department to ensure adherence to approved color swatches and lab dips.

Problem Resolution:

  • Act as a point of contact for addressing dyeing-related quality concerns and issues.

  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and factories to implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring continuous improvement in dyeing and color consistency.

  • Troubleshoot dyeing defects, such as streaking, uneven coloration, or fading, and propose effective solutions.

Training and Development:

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, new dyeing techniques, and emerging trends in sustainable dyeing solutions, sharing knowledge with the team to enhance overall capabilities.

Pre-Production and Post-Production Checks:

  • Conduct pre-production meetings to ensure that dyeing quality standards are clearly communicated to the production team.

  • Perform final post-production inspections to verify that finished products meet all specified dyeing and colorfastness criteria before shipping.

Travel and Site Visits:

  • Drive to production facilities for on-site inspections as needed.

  • Conduct regular site visits to build relationships with factory personnel and monitor ongoing dyeing processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Must-have/Nice-to-have)

Must-have

  • Strong knowledge of textile dyeing processes, color matching, and color fastness.

  • Experience in quality control for textiles or garments, especially in dyeing.

  • Ability to spot color inconsistencies and dyeing defects.

  • Problem-solving skills to fix dyeing issues.

  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in documenting quality inspections and writing reports.

  • Understanding of safety and environmental rules for dyeing.

  • Good communication skills to explain dyeing quality standards to teams.

  • Experience working with production teams and factory staff.

  • Willingness to travel to production sites for inspections.

  • Familiarity with lab dips, swatches, and pre/post-production quality checks.


Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of sustainable dyeing methods.

  • Experience using digital color-matching tools.

  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Background in textile chemistry and fabric dye reactions.

  • Experience in training teams on dyeing and quality control processes.
